How to create a secret album to hide photos on iPhone

How to activate passwords for notes on iPhone

You can password protect your notes so that no one but you can access them. This is an essential step to be able to make a secret album and hide your photos with a password on the iPhone, so if you have not configured it yet, follow these steps to do so.

Enter the iPhone settings, scroll down and select the Notes App.

In the section Display you will see an option called Password, tap on it.

When you enter this setting for the first time you will have to enter a password. It is important that put something you remember, otherwise you will not be able to access your notes. It helps to fill in the Hint field so that it is displayed in case you do not remember the password. Once you have it, click OK at the top left of the screen.

And everything is ready, from now on you can choose if you want a password in your notes or not.

How to create a password photo album on iPhone

With passwords enabled in the Notes App it is very easy to create a secret photo album on your iPhone, follow these steps.

Enter the iPhone photos App and then in the reel, when you are there touch the button Select and choose the photos you want to hide.

When you have the photos selected, tap on the button Share, which you will see at the bottom left of the screen.

You will be seeing the list of applications with which you can share the photos, select the Notes App.

By default a new note will be created, if you want it to have a specific name add some text to the note as you see in the screenshot below. When you have it press the button Save.

You have already created an album with photos in the Notes App, now we are going to protect it with a password.

How to password protect a photo album on iPhone

If you have followed the previous steps, you will have a note that only includes photos, protecting it with a password is very simple, follow these steps.

Enter the notes application and look for the one you created in the previous step. Get into it.

Within the note, touch the share button, we point it out in the screenshot below.

In the options of the bottom row you will see a call Lock note, tap on it.

If this is the first time you protect a note with a password, you will have to enter it by hand. It is the same one that you created in the first section if you had to activate the password for the notes in the settings. Once you enter it, press OK.

Once this is done, an open padlock will appear at the top right of the screen. To lock the note with a password, tap on it. Your secret photo album is password locked and only you can access it.

The note will appear in the iPhone's notes list, but it won't have a preview, it will only show its title, if you have put it. To access it you will have to enter the password or use the Touch ID.

How to add more photos to a locked note

You cannot add more photos to a note locked by password, even if the lock is open, so if you want to add more photos to the secret photo album you will have to do the following.

Enter the locked note by entering the password or with Touch ID.
Once in the note, touch the share button and select the option in the row of options below To unlock. This action will remove the lock from the note.

To add more photos to the secret album, go back to the Photos App and select the ones you want, once done, touch the share button and choose the option add to notes.
To add these new photos to the note we want, touch at the bottom of the pop-up window, where it says select note.

Now select the note where you have the rest of the secret photos and tap the save button.

Now you must reactivate the lock as you did in the previous section.

deleting evidence

Everything that we have explained to you before would not make sense if the photos are still visible in the iPhone's Photos App, so to eliminate the evidence, follow these steps.

Keep in mind that deleting photos from the Photos app has no effect on the ones you've saved to your secret album, they'll still be there, safe from prying eyes and ready to do whatever you want with them.

Enter the iPhone Photos App and the camera roll.

Touch the select button and choose the photos you want to delete, when you finish touch the button in the shape of a trash can that you will see at the bottom right of the screen. Confirm that you want to delete the selected photos.

The photos have been removed from the camera roll, but follow on your iPhone, so we're going to remove them altogether. Go back to the Albums tab of the Photos App and Scroll down until you see the album Removed. Tap on it to enter.

Photos you delete stay in this album for 30 days, then they're automatically deleted. If you want to permanently delete them, select them and touch the button Remove, then confirm the action to permanently delete the photos from the Photos App.
